Ah, books…I love them. Always have, always will. Books can take you on grand adventures right from the comfort of your own home. They can open up worlds to you that you never knew existed. They can teach you things that you never thought you’d ever be interested in and bring new and wonderous insights to your life. They can curb boredom, teach new skills, provide comfort and relaxation. But, what I have found to love best about books is the fabulous opportunity they have provided me over the years to grow and prosper as a human being. I want toRead more …

This post was first published on October 20, 2012, on ConfessionsofaThinkaholic.       I haven’t written much on here in a little while. I did, however, write another post for Tiny Buddha and I will post that link as soon as it is up, probably in the next month or so. I’ve also been doing some work on my other blog, Our Eclectic Life. Anyway, I’ve just been up to the same old stuff. Busy, as always, and trying to figure out how to manage it all and still make time for some peace in my life. ThingsRead more …

This post was originally published January 22, 2012, on ConfessionsofaThinkaholic.com     The following is a post I read on Facebook not long ago. The original post or comment made by Rep. Allen West is the original post of an old acquaintance of mine. What follows are comments from several different people, including that same acquaintance. It is copy and pasted, word for word.  I did not change or omit anything that was said. I changed the names because I would not betray anyone’s trust or want to embarrass anyone. That is not what I intend to do with this. I justRead more …

I believe myself to be a very versatile person and I have many opinions about many things. I often feel compelled to share these opinions on whatever platform is available at the time; not always the most popular move, I know. IRead more …

Just 10 Things You Need To (Not) Do To Be Happy

So, I was perusing through Facebook one day and a video came across my feed. It was titled “10 Things You Need To Give Up If You Want To Be Happy” from Higher Perspective (Facebook) Lo and behold, these 10 things are exactly what I learned to give up on, way back in 2008 when I started my “Journey to Higher Perspective,” so to speak. It’s a journey I am still embarking upon… Anyhoo, I’m going to list these here for you, with a bit of my own advice…   1. Let go of limiting beliefs Basing your reality on what you’veRead more …

Do You Believe In Magic? I Do. Here’s Why…

Hi, friends. How have you been? I know I haven’t been writing lately but, I’ve been pursuing some pretty interesting stuff. I have been drawn to learning about marketing, e-book writing and publishing, SEO, business and product branding, e-course building, how to give a webinar, making YouTube videos and, well, the list goes on and on… I was in a state of overwhelm, too. I constantly thought, “What have I got to offer? What could I possibly ‘sell’ or create in order to make money while I worked on larger projects, like writing a book?” I was also constantlyRead more …
